To pay tributes to Chowallur Krishnankutty on his first Remembrance Day, Paithrukam Guruvayur, Chowallur Smrithi Trust and MAC Kandanassery are jointly organising a memorial programme on June 17, 2023. The event shall be held at Rugmini Regency, Guruvayoor from 4.00 pm.

Launch of a website on the life and works of Chowallur Krishnankutty (www.chowallurkrishnankutty.com) by director Sathyan Anthikkad, publication of “Oruneramengilum” an anthology of Chowallur’s selected poems along with the dedication of the book to Guruvayur Dewaswom by Smt. Sararswathy Krishnankutty, handing over of the annual cash prize to SMUP school towards the propogation of the literary talent among school children, announcement of Chowallur Smrithi Puraskaram – an Annual award function to be held from 2024 as well as a “Gananjali” of Chowallur’s popular songs by MAC Kandanassery are among the programmes to be held as part of the event.

Luminaries from the fields of Cinema, Literature, Journalism, Music, Percussion Arts, Kathakali shall grace the occasion along with well wishers, community members, family and the general public to celebrate and honour Chowallur Kirshnankutty.
